Why do we love Good Friday so much? Is it because we get a day off work, have big dinners, have egg hunts, see family  or because farmers will finally plant their gardens? Nope –  Actually – it’s because of Good Friday that we have hope. Good Friday marked time in history for all men. You see, on Good Friday, the Christ, Jesus, was crucified. We celebrate His birth at Christmas time but it is at Easter that we celebrate the validity of all He stood for and all He proclaimed. As we approach this Good Friday – don’t just take the day off to stick the ham in the over or dye eggs to hide and seek – stop and know Good Friday. Know the Christ who loves you and me so much that He knew His destiny on Earth was the Cross – for us – our sins - to make right our wrong – to bridge the gap between us and His Father, God. Be still enough to know that Good Friday is really so very Good!
